Abstract Problem Statement. In the current context of Ukraine's foreign policy transformation and gradual integration into the European space, the need for English language (EL) proficiency as a means of international communication and access to global educational, scientific, and cultural resources is steadily increasing. The Law of Ukraine “On the Use of the English Language in Ukraine” (Article 1) defines English as the language of international communication, thereby emphasizing its priority in the system of language training. According to the EF English Proficiency Index 2024, Ukraine ranks 40th out of 116 countries in terms of English language proficiency, which indicates the need for a qualitative update of teaching approaches. In this regard, the search for effective teaching methods that can ensure the practical value of acquired knowledge and the development of language competence in an authentic context becomes increasingly relevant. One such approach is the implementation of Wikipedia-based projects, which serve as examples of tasks oriented toward real-world communicative situations. These projects not only align with the goals of modern education and national priorities, but also promote active student engagement in the global information environment [1, с. 13, 33–37, 90–100].
