Abstract	Робота присвячена комплексному аналізу всіх типів ілюстративного матеріалу (таблиці, рисунки, фотографії, карти, схеми), що використовується в наукових виданнях. Крім того, зазначається, що ілюстрації відіграють винятково важливу роль у науковій літературі й поряд із текстовими матеріалами є способом вираження і передачі змісту видання. Besides it is point out that the illustrations play the most important role in scientific literature and together with textual materials are the method of the expression and transference of the edition substance.
