Abstract	Under functional and communicative research approach the definition «communicative efficiency of children’s book» is defined. The main attention concentrates on lingual and speech tools of the effective literary communication between adult author and reader-child. The distinguishing features of literary discourse for children’s literature are described based on modern children’s poetry.
