Abstract	It has long been known that crops can be injured by air pollutants. Air pollution is a major stress causing yield losses in California crops. Statewide monitoring indicates that ozone, the main component of air pollution, is transported from urban to agricultural areas, many of which lie within or near high-ozone regions.
