Abstract A semi-classical laser system with a cavity dumper, which passes to a regime of stable oscillations is considered. Modelling the cavity dumper in the form of quadratic function with parameters playing role of intensities of generation and recombination the oscillatory regime is studied in details. It was found that such a stable regime is realized in the domain of these intensities. It was shown that transition to such a regime occurs due to reentrant Hopf bifurcation.
