Abstract The method to obtain the phenomenological equation (of Landau-Khalatnikov type) which describes the evolution of order parameter of a stochastic synergetic system and accounts the characteristic of fluctuation sources was considered. It was shown that cross-correlation of noises is a reason of breaking of symmetry of free energy potential that in part leads to realization of noise induced phase transitions of both first and second order and reorientation transitions.
