Abstract The article in question deals with the category of anthropocentrism, the ways the latter is treated both in philosophy and linguistics. The mentioned category is dealt with here in terms of coguition evolution. The authors come to the conclusion that anthropocentrism is the integration of three factors permeating the text, namely: the addressee, addressant and the characters. The in-depth analysis of this category will positively result in the identification of text categories, on the one hand, and the ways of their verbalization, on the other hand.
