При цитировании документа, используйте ссылку http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/30413 Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is a member of human herpes viruses family which causes varicella, or chickenpox, in children and young adults at primary exposition, and herpes zoster after reactivation of endogenous VZV that has persisted in latent form within sensory ganglia following an earlier episode of chickenpox. In contrast to recurrent herpes simplex, herpes zoster is commonly associated with severe pain. Modern VZV vaccine can protect older adults from herpes zoster and PHN by boosting their waning cell-mediated immunity to VZV.
