Abstract	В статті досліджуються квантитативні слова. Увага фокусується на їх джерелах та семантичних девіаціях, перевіряється робоча гіпотеза слова с загальними семами, які проходять подібну еволюцію. В статье исследуются квантитативные слова. Внимание фокусируется на их источниках и семантических девиациях, проверяется рабочая гипотеза: слова с общими семами проходят сходную эволюцию. The article in question deals with English quantitative words – their source and is being focused on the English numerals words of weight and measure. The author claims that the words with common semy undergo identical tendencies.
