Abstract	The current environmental protection system in Ukraine is based on assessment of different kinds of impacts of human activities without considering anthropogenic factors. This refers to use of normative environmental impact assessment method and ecological expertise. To evaluate the complex impact of population on the territory, the methodology of ecological or environmental footprint can be used [1]. This methodology can help to implement principles of constructive geography in territorial management. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the ecological footprint methodology can be used to improve a regional environmental management.
