Abstract |
The article provides a retrospective analysis of the development of Ukraine’s insurance market since
the creation of Ukraine as an independent state. The emphasis is put on the main positive
characteristics of this market, the unused opportunities and future potential. It gives the data on
some insurance companies for the past years with special attention to the insurance market
dynamics at the end of 2008 and at the beginning of 2009, i.e. during the world financial crisis. The
special features defining the crisis situation on the insurance market of Ukraine are given. |
