Abstract

У статті простежуються основні етапи ілюстрування давньоруської писемної пам’ятки “Слово о полку Ігоревім”. Проводиться аналіз дискусійних статей щодо оформлення сцени українськими художниками театру. Наголошується актуальність конструктивізму в українському театральному мистецтві. The main stages of ancient Russian document “The Tale of Igor’s Raid” are observed in the article. The pictorial interpretation of “The Tale of Igor’s Raid” in the late nineteenth – early twentieth century are featured. Emphasis is made on the search for a national identity, which found its expression in the convergence arts. The role of the German edition of “Words” in the illustrations N. Goncharova. The development of theatrical decoration of Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor”. Attention is paid to the artist’s first opera “Prince Igor” Roerich in the context of his appeal to antiquity. It is noted that the avant-garde techniques of easel painting is transferred to stage theatrical scene. The analysis of controversial articles on the design stage of the theater Ukrainian artists is made. Stage variants of opera performance “Prince Igor” and the principles of theater constructionism script writing are analyzed. The relevance of constructivism in Ukrainian theater is stressed.
