Abstract	В статті розглянуто роль соціальної сфери в забезпеченні сталого розвитку країни. Охарактеризовано функції соціальної сфери, що покликані сприяти використанню потенціалу суспільства на благо людини. Зазначені основні завдання, що покладені на соціальну сферу для вирішення соціальних проблем. Здійснена характеристика принципів, на яких базується функціонування соціальної сфери. The role of of the social sphere in providing sustainable development is considered in the article. The social sphere functions that are designed to promote the use of potential of society for the benefit of the person described.Basic tasks entrusted to the social sphere for solving social problems are considered in the article. Carried description the principles underlying the functioning of the social sphere.
