Abstract	Стаття присвячена інституту українського гетьмана. Зокрема, розглядається його історія протягом Першого і Другого Гетьманатів, а також дається теоретичне обґрунтування запровадження гетьманської влади в Україні в рамках Третього Гетьманату The article is devoted to the institution of the Ukrainian hetman. In particular, the history of it during the First and Second Hetmanates, and the implementation of Hetman's power in Ukraine in the framework of the Third Hetmanate is theoretically grounded.
