Abstract	Стаття розглядає засоби експлікації екстремальності в синоптичних текстах. Поняття «екстремальність» в текстах погоди виражається лексичними, стилістичними, граматичними, синтаксичними, графічними засобами. The present paper is aimed at investigating the linguistic means used to express extremes in weather forecast text (WFT) from “The Washington Times”. Weather extremes are expressed in WFT with the help of lexical, stylistic, grammatical, syntactical and graphic devices.
