Abstract	The financial industry is a global market where tough rules, regulations and constant supervision are a necessity. The German regulatory system on financial services institutions is based on EUdirectives but presents a number of unique aspects. Understanding the general EU-standards and their implementation into the German financial system lays ground for reviewing the chances of operating a financial services institution in Germany or doing business with German financial service providers. Фінансова індустрія – це глобальний ринок, де жорсткі правила, адміністративні положення та постійний нагляд є необхідністю. Структура німецьких установ, які спеціалізуються на наданні фінансових послуг, базується на директивах ЄС, але разом з тим пропонує безліч унікальних аспектів. Розуміння загальних стандартів ЄС та їх впровадження у фінансову систему Німеччини дають гарне підґрунтя для перегляду шансів функціонування установ, що займаються наданням фінансових послуг, або ведення бізнес-операцій з провайдерами фінансових послуг у Німеччині.
