Abstract	В статье смысловая структура имени собственного рассматривается в контексте интерпретации лингвокультурного потенциала, закодированного в семантике апеллятивов современных английских имен германского происхождения. Детальному анализу подвергается специфика языковой репрезентации домена "Военная сфера". The article considers the issue of a proper name's notional structure with respect to interpreting linguistic and cultural potential encoded in appelative semantics of modern English anthroponyms of Germanic origin. Specific features of language representation of the domain "Military sphere" is under detailed analysis.
