Abstract	The planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, but it's the only place where human beings can live. Today, our planet is in serious danger. The poisoning of the world's land, air and water is the fastestspreading disease of civilization. If present trends continue for the next several decades, our planet will become uninhabitable.
