Abstract	У даній статті досліджено анімалістичну казку як окремий вид казки. Подано її чітку дефініцію. Проведено компаративний аналіз жанрових та сюжетних особливостей англійської та української зооказки, системи їхніх персонажів. На основі ілюстративних джерел описано композиційні аспекти анімалістичної казки. Зазначено актуальність і важливість подальшого вивчення даного жанру. The article investigates an animal fairy tale as a separate type of tales. Its distinct definition is given. The comparative analysis of genre and plot peculiarities of the English and Ukrainian zoo tales and the system of their characters is carried out. On the basis of illustrative sources compositional aspects of the animal tale are described. The topicality and the importance of the further study are pointed out.
