Abstract	This article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments in the framework of the scientific discussion on the distribution of investment resources of the national economy of Ukraine and the definition of the place of the agricultural sector in it; highlighted indicators of Ukraine’s economic development; compared, projected and indicated changes in the dynamics of GDP and capital investment; the results of profitability (loss-making) of branches of the national economy of Ukraine are presented.
