Таксономія лексичних блендів

Abstract

Стаття досліджує таксономію лексичних одиниць гібридного типу на основі структурного, семантичного і функціонального аналізів; а також ідентифікує основні чинники, що лежать в основі різних видів їх класифікацій. Вихідні компоненти слів-зрощень підвладні певним параметрам як мови – фонологічним, семантичним, граматичним, так і мовлення – дискурсивним особливостям, що позначені високим лінгвокреативним потенціалом, притаманним зокрема англійській мові, під впливом якої знаходяться практично всі мови світу і що стає для них неабиякою проблемою – це і зумовлює актуальність дослідження.

Статья исследует таксономию лексических единиц гибридного типа на основе структурного, семантического и функционального анализов, а также идентифицирует основные факторы, лежащие в основе различных видов их классификаций. Исходные компоненты слов-слитков подвластны определенным параметрам как языка – фонологическим, семантическим, грамматическим, так и речи – дискурсивным особенностям, отмеченным высоким лингвокреативным потенциалом, что присуще, в частности, английскому языку, под влиянием которого находятся все языки мира, и что становится для них большой проблемой, – это и обуславливает актуальность данного исследования.

The article touches upon the analysis of blend words usage in English and other world languages (being under the impact of English media and advertisement discourse). Such words cause a significant speech problem and this fact determines the relevance of the study. The complexity of modeling and the remarkable structural diversity of the above mentioned lexical units is the result of the process of their formation. The initial components of the blend words are influenced by both proper lingual parameters, such as phonological, semantic, grammatical, and speech parameters – discourse features typical for a creative potential of the English language in particular. The goal of the study is to systematize the taxonomy of the above mentioned lexical units on the basis of structural, semantic and functional analyses; as well as to identify the main factors that underlie various types of their classification. Advertising texts of newspaper editions in English for the last decade, as well as vocabularies of neologisms served as the research material, that was selected by the continuous sampling method and makes up 1000 examples of telescopic units. The paper identifies the taxonomy of blend units taking into account the structural and semantic features of the latter. The process of blending is realized in the marginal zone of word formation by operating productive models of nominative type that already exist in the language. Non-productive patterns of telescopic blend words remain lacunar and demand constant discourse studying. The formation of a structural model of a telescopic unit is a dynamic process that involves the validity of productive and non-productive models, that represents the prospect of further research.
