Abstract	У статті розглядається специфіка гумору в мережі Інтернет, що обумовлює актуальність дослідження особливостей віртуальної комунікації в цілому і гумористичних текстів в мережі Інтернет зокрема. Крім того, особлива увага надається розгляду Інтернет-мема, який є одним з найважливіших засобів вираження гумору у віртуальному просторі. Объект исследования представлен универсальной категорией юмора в интернете, предмет – оязыковлением ее глобальной структуры в английском тексте. Категория юмора анализируется в модусах языка и речи в рамках интернета. The article deals with the specifics of humor on the Internet, which determines the relevance of the study of the features of virtual communication in general and humorous texts on the Internet in particular. In addition, special attention is paid to the consideration of the Internet meme, which is one of the most important means of expressing humor in the virtual space.
