Abstract	This article provides aphilosophical –anthropological analysisof hesychasmrevealsits essence andmeaning. Thereare determined basic criteriaof hesychasm: quietude;smartdoing,the practice of inner prayer,catharsisof mind and heart, anda thereof combination; bodilytechniques, aiming at union with God, contemplation of Taborlightfrom the Divine.Hesychasmalso appearsin two ways–as a meta-organic phenomenon, which is a compound ofanthropological(individual) practiceand historical(collectively, united) tradition, and, as a kind ofmonastic life. У цій статті наводиться філософсько-антропологічний аналіз ісихасмреверсує його сутність та значення. Були визначені основні критерії ісихазму: спокій, розумна робота, практика внутрішньої молитви, катарсис розуму і серця та їх поєднання; тілесні техніки, спрямовані на єднання з Богом, споглядання Таборлайт з Божественного. Ісихасмал також виступає двояко - як метаорганічне явище, яке є сполукою антропологічної (індивідуальної) практики та історичної (колективно, об'єднаної) традиції, і як своєрідне монаше життя.
