Abstract	Agricultural production is highly dependent on water and is its largest consumer. On the other hand, in developing countries, rapid urbanization has led to an increase in wastewater used as an inexpensive alternative to conventional irrigation, turning "waste" into a new resource to support local agriculture. Сільськогосподарське виробництво дуже залежить від води, а також є її найбільшим споживачем. З іншого боку, в країнах, що розвиваються, швидка урбанізація призвела до збільшення обсягів стічних вод, що використовуються як недорога альтернатива звичайному зрошенню, перетворюючи "відходи" в новий ресурс для підтримки місцевого сільського господарства.
