Abstract	In today's world, joining the European Union is not a whim, but a necessity. As everyone knows, on February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, which led to the application for EU membership. Before joining the EU, Ukraine will be assessed for its ability to obtain EU candidate status. The European Union has six core values, the adherence to which is the key to success in joining it, because this union is not only about trade, but also about the worldview.
