Видобуток мінеральних і біологічних ресурсів дає можливості для забезпечення існування економічної системи. При правильному використанні можна проаналізувати рівень екологічної ефективності регіону, держави, території. Кожна компанія прагне провести повний аналіз, щоб визначити сильні та слабкі сторони. Екологічний фактор не є винятком. Зростаюче занепокоєння щодо якості цього фактора зосередило увагу виробників на можливих екологічних наслідках їх діяльності. Підприємствам необхідно проаналізувати ці впливи та визначити проблеми, щоб усунути негативний результат. Тому обов’язковим є проведення еколого-економічного аналізу підприємства, що включає цей аналіз до переліку повного аналізу підприємства.
