Abstract	У статті проведено аналіз основних характеристик біткоїна як першої криптовалюти, досліджено особливості подальшого розвитку ринку криптовалют та застосування технології блокчейн. Розглянуто динаміку капіталізації основних криптовалют та визначено лідери даного ринку за рівнем капіталізації The article analyzes the main characteristics of bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency, explores the peculiarities of the further development of the cryptocurrency market and the application of blockchain technology. The dynamics of capitalization are considered the main cryptocurrencies and the leaders of this market by capitalization level are determined
