Проблеми перекладу заголовків художніх творів (до питання про поліпарадигмальний вимір)

Abstract

Мета: вивчення проблем перекладу заголовків художніх творів та визначення методів і стратегій, які сприяють їх адекватній адаптації. Завдання дослідження включають виявлення основних проблем перекладу, аналіз підходів до трансформації заголовків, визначення критеріїв вибору методів перекладу, а також аналіз конкретних прикладів з англомовної та української літератури.

Теоретичне значення: Робота спрямована на поглиблення знань у галузі перекладознавства, зокрема в розвитку теоретичних засад перекладу заголовків, що стосуються їх жанрово-стилістичних особливостей, функціонального навантаження та впливу на сприйняття тексту. У роботі уточнюється роль заголовків у текстовій структурі, аналізується їх значення як ключового елемента художнього твору, що виконує інформаційно-смислову, естетичну та комунікативну функції, що дозволяє краще зрозуміти їхній вплив на цілісне сприйняття тексту. Крім того, дослідження розробляє класифікації підходів до перекладу заголовків, створюючи теоретичну основу для систематизації стратегій перекладу з урахуванням мовних, культурних і жанрових аспектів. Аналіз проблем перекладу заголовків актуалізує міжкультурну комунікацію, сприяючи глибшому розумінню механізмів міжмовної адаптації художнього тексту з урахуванням особливостей культурного контексту, що є важливим для ефективного міжкультурного обміну. Отримані результати також слугують базисом для подальших наукових досліджень у сфері перекладознавства, зокрема щодо взаємозв’язку тексту та заголовка, аналізу перекладацьких трансформацій або порівняльного дослідження стилістики заголовків в оригіналі та перекладі.

Goal: to study the problems of translating titles of works of fiction and to identify methods and strategies that contribute to their adequate adaptation. The objectives of the study include identifying the main problems of translation, analysing approaches to the transformation of titles, determining the criteria for choosing translation methods, and analysing specific examples from English and Ukrainian literature.

Theoretical meaning: The work is aimed at deepening the knowledge in the field of translation studies, in particular, in the development of theoretical foundations of translation of titles concerning their genre and stylistic features, functional load and influence on the perception of the text. The work clarifies the role of headings in the text structure, analyses their significance as a key element of a work of fiction that performs informational, semantic, aesthetic and communicative functions, which allows us to better understand their impact on the holistic perception of the text. In addition, the study develops classifications of approaches to the translation of titles, creating a theoretical basis for systematising translation strategies with regard to linguistic, cultural and genre aspects. The analysis of the problems of translating titles actualises intercultural communication, contributing to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of interlingual adaptation of a literary text, taking into account the peculiarities of the cultural context, which is important for effective intercultural exchange. The findings also serve as a basis for further research in the field of translation studies, in particular on the relationship between text and title, analysis of translation transformations, or comparative study of the stylistics of titles in the original and translation.
