Abstract Renewable energy could be regarded as one of the transformational solutions for economic growth and post-conflict recovery because it opens new avenues to rebuild resilient and decentralized energy systems. In such a context, the adoption of renewable technologies by Ukraine will respond to some pressing challenges, such as energy security, while building a foundation for long-term socioeconomic stability. Successful implementation of renewable energy, however, requires strong institutions, transparent impact assessments, and clear social and economic benefits to local people if it is to be sustained and equitable.
