Abstract	In the course of learning a foreign language, learners frequently encounter communication problems caused by a lack of linguistic resources. Learners use communication strategies (CSs) to overcome these problems. CSs help students to fill gaps when their language skills are limited. CSs also allow students to overcome challenges they face while communicating and help them negotiate meaning with their partners. S.P. Corder defines a CS as - "a systematic technique employed by a speaker to express his (or her) meaning when faced with some difficulty."
