Abstract	The paper defines the reasons of the world financial crisis and its impact on the Ukrainian economy. It also examines the development of systemic crisis in the economy of Ukraine compared to other countries as well as with regard to export-import activities, external borrowing, currency, monetary and anti-inflationary policies, banking system functioning, political situation, etc. The suggestions are made concerning the duration and deepness of the financial crisis in Ukraine.
