Abstract	Аналізуються язичницькі вірування давніх слов’ян через призму наявності в них монотеїстичної тенденції, яка згодом обумовила відносно безболісне прийняття християнства на Русі. The article analyses pagan beliefs of ancient Slavs in the light of the presence in them monotheistic tendencies, which later led to a relatively painless adoption of Christianity in Rus.
