Abstract
The goal of the paper is theoretical and methodological analysis in the evaluation of the level of innovative
potential of regions. The novelty is the approach to the estimation of innovative potential of regions, which is based on the calculation of resulting index of innovative potential of the regions which is improved methodologically on the basis of four subindexes of the relevant components compared with the existing potential.
