The historical aspects of currency formation are analyzed, as well as the peculiarities of this market in Ukraine are considered. The exchange rate policy of the National Bank of Ukraine has been studied. The prospects of the foreign exchange market are assessed. The object of study is the foreign exchange market. The subject of the study is the problems of formation and prospects of the foreign exchange market in Ukraine.
