Demand for electricity in Iraq has been stimulated by a growing economy and increasing number of population. In addition, electricity is subsidized in Iraq, which leads to increased demand. Nowadays the output of electricity sector in Iraq averages more than 8500 MW, while the demand is typically more than 14000 MW. Energy deficit in Iraq increased since 2003, when in the war was destroyed electricity network When you are citing the document, use the following link http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/26455

    Economics for Ecology ISCS'2009
    (Вид-во СумДУ, 2009)
Protecting natural resources is an urgent area that requires attention. Ecosystems have been profoundly shaped by unusually rapid climate change effects largely driven by human activities that release heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Climate change has a particularly strong effect on decreasing water levels. The goal of this research is to develop a strategy to measure the direct effects of climate change on the value of natural resources, particularly water resources; and how humans manage these resources through management decisions. This base will assist in developing and supplying the tools and information necessary for decision-making in light of industry and human dimensions information to influence stakeholder management techniques that foster environmental conservation. By providing an understanding of the role of the economic, institutional and socio-cultural components within the ecosystem approach to management to examine some potential methods this may facilitate enhancements and thus policy revision. Ukrainians eat genetic modified products. And nobody knows how it influences on their health and children’s health. What are the genetic modified products? Genetic modified products are those, which includes the genetic modified organisms, which DNA is changed such way, which it is impossible reach in nature. GMO can include fragments of DNA from some alive organisms. Technology of the formation GMO so imperfect that it result can be a source of biological and ecological risk for person and surrounding ambiences. Products, which contain GMO, cause big agiotage in the world. Nobody knows, where exactly transgen wait for us. There many variants – from bread to sweet drinks. Knowledge - outlook - skills. This triad is the basis of any educational cycle, and determines a key framework of forms and methods of education. Each component of the triad contributes to the reproduction of two others. Finally, the triad mentioned is to realize three conditions of a human being: to know, want, and be able to do something. To know means to want, to want means to be able. Any skill reproduces needs for a new knowledge, and the cycle repeats on a new qualitative basis. When it deals with sustainable development (SD) the problem is that this cycle for each human of the Earth would be reproduced constantly. When a human being is getting older, this cycle should be realized automatically (in particular, due to human self-training processes). In 1969 the first attempts of our compatriots to evaluate the man-caused influence upon the environment were undertaken. Exactly at that time the researches of economic damage due to air pollution as the consequence of ferrous metallurgy enterprises activity were started in Sumy. By the end of 1980-th the scientists have created the methodic groundwork of evaluating nature resources (particularly, water, land and forest resources) and damage due to negative impact upon the environment (including air, water, noise pollution and soil erosion). The introduction of ecological payments system (first approved in Sumy after the two-year experiment) was the one of the results of that scientific work. At the beginning of 1990-th the research work was stopped and then renewed only in 2001 in Russia. Exactly in 2001 the macroeconomic evaluations of population health level reduce caused by environment pollution were carried out by the initiative of the World Bank Institute. In Ukraine such researches were renewed in 2003. At that time the economic evaluation of environmental costs due to national production was carried out by the order of Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine.
