The assessment was made by primary morbidity and prevalence of cardiovascular, respiratory diseases as well as oncological pathologies. There is a tendency towards a decrease of diseases prevalence as well as primary morbidity of above mentioned diseases among the adult population of the Sumy region in 2019 as compared to the “top” indicators in 2016 and 2017. The prevalence of diseases among the region’s population in 2019 decreased by 9.72 % and 9.40 % compared to 2016 and 2017, respectively, while the primary morbidity rate decreased by 13.9% and 10.29%, respectively. The indicators of diseases prevalence and population primary morbidity by cardiovascular diseases and neoplasm which are basic causes of mortality in Ukraine, as well as the European Union were analyzed. During the last 10 years highest indicators of prevalence of the cardiovascular diseases were registered in 2018 (57, 459.63 cases per 100 000 people) and primary cardiovascular morbidity – in 2016 (4 394.71 cases per 100 000 people). Prevalence of neoplasm among the Sumy region’s inhabitants for the last 10 years increased by 29.59 % and in 2019 was 6 126.43 cases per 100 000 people. At the same time the primary morbidity increased by 6.18 %. Respiratory diseases occupy the 1st place in the structure of primary population morbidity, the 2nd place – in structure of prevalence of the diseases); its highest indicators were observed in 2016. The index of accumulation of the diseases (the ratio between prevalence of diseases and primary morbidity) among the Sumy region population and by administrative-territorial districts was identified. To realize the nosogeographic assessment of the adult population of the Sumy region and to highlight the groups of the administrative-territorial districts of the Sumy region by the characteristics of population morbidity the cluster analysis procedure was used. The first cluster includes the Sumy and Seredyna- Buda districts. The second cluster was formed by 6 administrative-territorial districts of the region: Yampil’, Hlukhiv, Trostianets, Krasnopillia, Shostka and Velyka Pysarivka districts. The third cluster united both Romny and Buryn’ districts. The fourth cluster includes most of administrative-territorial districts of the region: Lypova Dolyna, Nedryhailiv, Lebedyn, Krolevets, Konotop, Putyvl’, Okhtyrka and Bilopillia districts. The main purpose of the study is a retrospective and current analysis of the scientific publications on anti-corruption and the shadow economy at the international level based on the SciVal and VOSViewerv. The urgency of solving this scientific problem is to move from the traditional review of scientific publications to the innovative approach, which involves establishing cross-cutting issues, interdisciplinary and interethnic relations in the study of the scientific problems. The relationship between the corruption level in the country and the scale of the shadow economy is studied in the following logical sequence: determining the dynamics of scientific articles on anti-corruption issues and shadow processes; establishment of the most cited scientific papers and publications on certain issues; analysis of research areas in SciVal, identification of promising areas of research on selected topics. Data from the Scopus scientometric database for the period 1996—2021 were used to monitor scientific publications covering the interaction of corruption with shadow economic processes. 4696 scientific publications on certain issues were selected for bibliometric analysis. On average, about 40% of publications on corruption and the shadow economy are published by European scholars. The article finds that 15% of publications devoted to corruption and shadow activities belong to the cluster «Monetary policy; economic growth; export», the radiance level of 94,448. Between 2011 and 2020, researchers at the University of Sheffield (UK), Oxford University (UK), and the Australian National University (Australia) published the largest number of scientific papers studying the relationship between corruption and the shadow economy.Based on the analysis of metadata of scientific publications via VOSViewerv, four content clusters were identified. The study theoretically proves that corruption and shadow economy are complex and multifaceted phenomena that can both complement and condition each other and have a systemically important impact on the pace of the country’s socio-economic development.Item The trajectories of companies’ financial architecture in the real economy(Businness Perspectives, 2020) Школьник, Інна Олександрівна; Школьник, Инна Александровна; Shkolnyk, Inna Oleksandrivna; Mentel, Urszula; Бухтіарова, Аліна Геннадіївна; Бухтиарова, Алина Геннадьевна; Bukhtiarova, Alina Hennadiivna; Dushak, M.The formation of an effective company’s financial architecture, which includes such basic elements as the capital structure, ownership structure, and the state of corporate governance, has a significant impact on maintaining a certain market position and ensuring stable profitability of activity. This research aims at determining the state of financial architecture, changing its trajectory, and its impact on company’s market position. Twenty-two (22) Ukrainian companies were selected for the study from the list of top 200 in terms of the largest volume of sales revenue received, and those that provided full financial statements for the period from 2007 till 2017. To determine the state of company’s financial architecture and the relevant market position, the authors used a cluster analysis using the method of the most remote neighbors. Algorithms of Kohonen’s self-organizing maps were applied. Harrington’s desirability function was used to determine the integral index. The selected sample demonstrated a high level of ownership concentration in almost all companies and showed that only a few individuals controlled a significant amount of assets, thereby confirming the oligarchic structure of the Ukrainian economy. As a result, seven cluster groups were obtained, reflecting the companies in terms of the quality of their financial architecture. Only five companies in the total sample were found to have high-quality financial architecture, i.e., capital structure and ownership structure are consistent and optimal and ensure that the company maintains a leading market position.
