Item Development Strategy of Sumy State University Library for 2023-2027(Sumy State University, 2022) Крицька, Ольга Василівна; Крицкая, Ольга Васильевна; Krytska, Olha VasylivnaA modern university library is an informational, customer-oriented service system that promotes the development of research and academic activities of the university, it is a communication space for educational and creative leisure. The library implemented "Library Development Strategy of Sumy State University for 2018-2022" mainly during the difficult times of the pandemic, during the difficult times of the war with the russian aggressor, which fundamentally changed and will continue to change all spheres of Ukrainian life. Most of the set goals were achieved. Some tasks are partially completed. Due to the system innovation focus of activity, the library was able to quickly adapt to the challenges of the times, expanding the range of digital approaches in the direction of supporting learning, research and leisure. "Library Development Strategy of Sumy State University for 2023-2027" aims to define the vision and strategic priorities of the library for the next five years from the standpoint of today and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the activity, opportunities and threats. The library faces the task of mastering new practices, tools for implementing the ideas of open science in order to promote transparency, openness of data and knowledge exchange in accordance with global trends. Stepping into the future, the library also takes into account that the daily life of people will be affected by global trends in the coming decades, in particular the knowledge society, digitalization, artificial intelligence, access to an unlimited amount of information. The library is capable of transformation and strives to become one that moves in advance, taking into account modern trends in education and scientific research, that is distinguished by a culture of justice, respect and equal opportunities for all.
