    Analysis of modern approaches for the prediction of electric energy consumption

    A review of modern methods of forming a mathematical model of power systems and the development of an intelligent information system for monitoring electricity consumption. The main disadvantages and advantages of the existing modeling approaches, as well as their applicability to the energy systems of Ukraine and Kazakhstan, are identified. The main factors that affect the dynamics of energy consumption are identified. A list of the main tasks that need to be implemented in order to develop algorithms for predicting electricity demand for various objects, industries and levels has been developed.

    By vacuum-arc evaporation of multielement Ti+Zr+Nb cathode in nitrogen atmosphere, (Ti-Zr-Nb)N coatings have been deposited on steel substrates. The coatings are characterized by a columnar structure with nanosized (10-63 nm) crystallites of the main FCC nitride phase (Ti-Zr-Nb)N. Such coatings seem to having prospects as protective ones for couples of friction and cutting tools.

    Structure, Properties and Element Composition of Alumina Coatings, Obtained by Micro-Arc Oxidation Method

    Coatings of aluminium oxide Al2O3 were obtained by micro-arc oxidation under different conditions of deposition. They were analysed by such methods as: positron annihilation spectroscopy (PAS), Rutherford backscattering (RBS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy with microanalysis (SEM with EDS). Investigated samples showed good adhesion to the substrate, low concentration of nanopores in the bulk. Content of amorphous phase in the coating was about 20 vol.%, and metastable -Al2O3 - Al2O3 phases about less than 10 vol.%. It was demonstrated that by varying of parameters of deposition, it is possible to control the physical – mechanical properties of obtained coatings as well as their element composition and surface morphology.     Application of simulation technologies to the investigation of the beam generating systems

    A series of numerical calculations of electron beam generation in the threeelectrode electron-optical system has been performed with the help of the electromagnetic modeling FIT method both with the PBA technology. Effects of the initial blocking and ray laminarity failure have been modeled. Optimum electrode potentials have been obtained for generation of the low-energy intensive axial-symmetric electron beam with beam-crossover behind the last anode of electron gun.
