Sustainability and reliability ensurance models for automated technological systems in chemical industry: systemic ergonomic approach
(EDP Sciences, 2021) Лавров, Євгеній Анатолійович; Lavrov, Yevhenii Anatoliiovych; Siryk, O.; Volosiuk, A.; Zolkin, A.; Sedova, N.
The paper considers accidents and potential hazards of the world chemical enterprises, and provides statistics of accidents and human casualties. The authors investigate harmful factors affecting the production process and a human-operator, showing the central role of a human in the technological process (both as a source of errors and as an active element that eliminates errors, failures and cyber attacks’ consequences). We essentially consider automated technological complex as a Human-Machine-Environment system, thus a human-system approach should be applied. The authors developed a complex of systemic components and morphological models, which describe the human-machine system in the sections required for analysis, to ensure sustainable and reliable design with initial data. The authors also propose a method and information technology for interfaces’ ergonomic assessment; the principles for adaptive interfaces design; and mathematical models and information technology to assess safety and timeliness indicators of the chemical production operators’ activities. The models are based on the principles of the functional-structural theory by Anatoly Gubinsky, Vladimir Evgrafov, Akiva Asherov, Pavel Chabaneko and others, and on the mathematical apparatus of functional networks. Further, the authors develop an optimization model for decision supporting organizing the human-machine control technology, using the criterion of minimizing losses from unreliability and unsustainability. Both the models and the information technology have undergone extensive testing, including solving the tasks of: choosing the automation level for the control process; distributing functions between operators; control algorithms design; user interface design, design of agent-managers to support the operators’ activities. The results can be used as the basis for a decision support system to ensure sustainability and reliability of automated technological systems in chemical industry.

The method of teaching IT students computer analysis of ergonomic reserves of the effectiveness of automated control systems
(EDP Sciences, 2020) Лавров, Євгеній Анатолійович; Lavrov, Yevhenii Anatoliiovych; Pasko, N.; Siryk, O.; Kisel, N.; Sedova, N.
In the article, we consider a technique for training university students, who study IT specialties to solve problems of finding ergonomic reserves to improve the efficiency of automated systems. We describe the structure of the “Ergonomics of Automated Systems” course, software for evaluating and optimizing the activities of operators of “human-equipment-environment” systems, and methodological techniques for using ergonomic computer modeling to build effective automated control systems. Discipline is built using a mansystem approach to the study and design of automated systems, when a person is considered the main element of the system, but the diverse influence of hardware, software and information support, as well as the environment, is taken into account. A significant difference between the developed method and similar existing disciplines devoted to the study of the “human factor” is that, firstly, not only the characteristics of the human operator working with technology are studied, but also the mutual influence of system elements; secondly, the course is based on a qualimetric approach to assess the reliability of the activity and the economic results of this activity; thirdly, the computer modeling used is focused on optimization with the use of economic criteria of activity, while observing the requirements of ergonomic norms and standards. Functional networks developed by the scientific school “Efficiency, Reliability, and Quality of Ergotechnical Systems” by Professor Anatoly Ilyich Gubinsky were used as a methodological basis for modeling and optimization of activities.

(EDP Sciences, 2020) Лавров, Євгеній Анатолійович; Lavrov, Yevhenii Anatoliiovych; Paderno, P.; Burkov, E.; Volosiuk, A.; Lung, V.D.
In this paper, we investigate problems of decision making in management systems for the sustainable development of complex technological and socio-economic facilities. We show both the limitations of traditional expert systems and decision support systems, and the necessity of using expert evaluation technologies to find possible development strategies. Based on that we substantiate the need of creating a new class of systems, i.e. Automated eXpert Assessment Systems, and propose their organizational structure and design principles. We substantiate the level of automation of the work performed during the examinations and describe the composition of models and computer programs we recommend for creating effective automated expert assessment systems and corresponding technology. In the paper, we give examples of using the proposed method for various areas of human activity, in the management of urban infrastructure and e-learning at the universities, and show the effectiveness of the developed approach.

Human-centered management in polyergatic information systems. Multi-criteria distribution of functions between operators
Chybiriak, Yana Ivanivna; Zolkin, A.L.; Sedova, N.A.
The article considers the problem of human factor in complex polyergatic systems with a flow of applications for functions (problem-solving) arising at random moments of time. The structure of a decision support system for the operator-manager, including subsystems of monitoring, forecasting and decision-making, is justified. The system of criteria relevant to solving the tasks of functions distribution was substantiated and its multi-criteria nature was shown. The technology of multi-criteria evaluation and choice of alternatives based on the methodology of hierarchical system analysis of problems and the method of analysis of hierarchies, Thomas Saaty has been proposed. The decision-making system, which has been tested in the operation of control systems of various complex technical and production objects, has been implemented. The proposed method differs from the known approaches in that this method is aimed at prompt decision-making, as well as in that it uses a multi-criteria approach and both pragmatic and ergonomic criteria are used as criteria.

Creation of a software and hardware product of a real-time system for collecting, accounting and managing data transmission of an intelligent transport system in context of the IoT
(IOP Publishing, 2021) Zolkin, A.L.; Munister, V.D.; Лавров, Євгеній Анатолійович; Лавров, Евгений Анатольевич; Lavrov, Yevhenii Anatoliiovych; Aygumov, K.G.; Saradzheva, V.
Some aspects of the functioning of modern microcontrollers of the Internet of Things in conditions that are close to real-time systems are reviewed in the article. Attention is paid to the aspects of the theory of physical data transmission, the significance of the delay metrics in the data transmission path is substantiated and emphasized. These delays (in view of the generalization of measurement results) determine the control accuracy and controllability of the data processing system as a whole, and also affect the reliability of the results. The process of formalization of the architectural template of a data collecting and accounting system for a control device (which is widespread in intelligent transport systems and the Internet of things) is described. The practical application of the approach in synchronous control through the implementation of a web interface and a control language in a microprocessor system (which can be possible at low traffic transmission rates) is substantiated. In conclusion, a generalization of the scope of application of the developed specialized computer system in transport field is given.

(IOP Publishing, 2020) Padern, P.I.; Burkov, E.A.; Лавров, Євгеній Анатолійович; Лавров, Евгений Анатольевич; Lavrov, Yevhenii Anatoliiovych
In the course of preparation and carrying out of various expertises, in a number of cases methodological and organizational problems arise due to both the insufficiently high level of training of the working group members who develop the program and methodology of the expertise, and various restrictions, that could have a material impact on the credibility of the results. These restrictions generally are either financial in nature or are associated with a lack of sufficiently qualified and objective experts in the subject area. Objective: to develop a set of techniques that allow to expand the possibilities of using expert assessment methods in the preparation and carrying out of modern expertise in the presence of restrictions associated with external conditions. Methods: methods and approaches of system analysis, integration of individual expert assessments are used. Results: a comprehensive analysis of the problems faced by specialists in the organization of various expertises has been carried out. A number of techniques have been proposed that make it possible to significantly simplify the process of preparing and carrying out expertises but at the same time do not negatively affect the adequacy of the results obtained. Practical significance: the results obtained can be widely used in the course of various expertises, both in the process of selecting experts and in the process of direct obtaining and combining expert assessments. In addition, the use of obtained results in terms of different organizational and material restrictions will allow to expand the scope of possible applications of expert assessments. Prospects: the proposed approach and the set of techniques lay the methodological basis for creating a decision support system that will give specific recommendations to specialists involved in the development of program and methodology of the expertise at all stages of their activities. The introduction of such a system will greatly contribute to the simplification of various expertises, and will also increase confidence in their results.
