    Functional networks for ergonomics and reliability tasks on the 90th anniversary of A. Gubinsky and V. Evgrafov

    The paper considers the tasks of discovering ergonomic reserves for increasing the reliability and efficiency of automated systems. The authors show the necessity of using the Activity Approach and the Theory of Functional Networks, developed by the scientific school of Professor Anatoly Ilyich Gubinsky. The authors describe the history of Functional Networks approach and the current state of development of the functional networks models and show the possibilities for automating the assessment of reliability of human-machine interactions. The research describes the common ergonomics issues and its effective solution by the introduction of automated procedures for the analysis and evaluation of functional networks. The authors further present the ways of using the developed models in decision support systems in the automated systems design and operation.

    Verification of Two-Parametric Fitting Method for Determination of Electron Beam Characteristics

    Computer simulation of radiation processing allows correctly to schedule and control the performance of work on radiation processing installations. In particular, for radiation technology using electron beams (EBs) in the calculations it is required the values of energy characteristics of the electron irradiation. The paper [1] describes a method for the twoparametric fitting of semi-empirical model (PFSEM method) to the results of measuring the depth dependence of the absorbed dose for electron radiation performed by dosimetric wedge.

    Modeling of Processes in Co-Based Coatings Exposed to Plasma Jet Irradiation

    The model of microstructure of thick (about 300 μm) plasma detonated Co-based coatings on steel substrates is suggested on the basis of experimental research. Computer simulation of temperature distribution in depth from the surface of coatings under plasma jet irradiation was done; and certain parameters for additional treatment by irradiation were proposed. The irradiation was carried out according to the design conditions. It was established that the roughness of the modified coatings decreased by 2 times, microhardness increased on the average by 25 %. There was established the evolution of the structure and phase composition of the coatings after irradiation, which caused the improvement of their strength.
