Abstract
У статті йдеться про соціальну структуру української політичної еміграції в Румунії у міжвоєнний період. Наводяться дані анкетування, опитування, обліку, що були здійснені Громадсько-допомоговим комітетом української еміграції в Румунії, головою Товариства колишніх вояків Армії УНР в Румунії Г. Порохівським та Українським громадським комітетом у Празі.
В статье речь идет о социальной структуре украинской политической эмиграции в Румынии в межвоенный период. Приводятся данные анкетирования, опроса и учета, осуществленные Общественно-вспомогательным комитетом украинской эмиграции в Румынии, председателем Общества бывших военнослужащих Армии УНР в Румынии И. Пороховским и Украинским общественным комитетом в Праге.
The aim of this article is to examine the social structure of Ukrainian political emigration in Romania 1920-30 yrs. The article contains data from questionnaires and reports done by Ukrainian civil society organizations for refugees in Romania and Czechoslovakia. Among the number of sources the most prominent data regarding certification of 235 émigré officers is coming from Gnat Porokhovsky, the Head of the Society for Veterans of the UPR Army. The author observes changes in social status of the officers while exiting their homeland in 192023 yrs and 10 years after, in 1930. The metrics includes officers’ age, marital status, education, place of birth, language qualification, occupation, and salary levels. Extensive representative data has been found also in the record book of the Ukrainian Civil Committee in Prague. The book contains data on sex, age, social origin, education, nationality place of birth, marital and military status of 171 emigrants that moved to Romania from Czechoslovakia in 1921-24 yrs. The majority of Ukrainian emigrants from Romania reemigrated to Czechoslovakia to study in national and Ukrainian educational institutions or to work in agriculture. Less data on social status of Ukrainian emigrants is presented in the sample survey on emigrants conducted by Civil Subordinate Committee of Ukrainian emigration in Romania in 1924. The survey covers 1138 registered emigrants and contains data on social status of the Ukrainian emigrants, their occupation, salary levels before and after emigration to Romania. The author concludes that ratio of the Ukrainian clerisy (incl. culture beams, native Ukrainian language speakers, and further, members of the Ukrainian Revolution 1917-21 yrs) among emigrants compared to one of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic was much higher.
