Abstract
The article deals with some aspects of cooperative learning in the foreign language classroom. Cooperative learning is defined as a strategy for the classroom that is used to increase motivation , to help students develop a positive image of self and others, to provide a vehicle for critical thinking and problem solving, and to encourage collaborative skills. The research focuses on pointing out assumptions about cooperative learning, describing strategies for group dynamics, investigating steps and levels of cooperative skills.
