Концептуальна метафора як когнітивний механізм формування номінацій "Кохання"

Abstract

У статті розглядається когнітивне підгрунтя формування метафоричних номінацій концепту "Кохання" в англійській мові. Когнітивна метафора як механізм концептуалізації світу індивідом-мовною особистістю та базові концептуальні принципи її утворення в аналізованих мовних формах також знаходяться у фокусі дослідження.The paper dwells on the cognitive background of the concept of "Love". The concept under study is viewed as the integrative component of the general conceptual space of the individual, the latter being treated as a language personality. Cognitive metaphor as the mechanism underlying language nominations of "LOVE" as well as basic principles of metaphoric shifts are also in the focus of analysis.
