Technologies for highlighting the culturе of the «fan circle» and the chaos of public opinion in contemporary Chinese media

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the relationship between fandom circle Culture and the contemporary media opinion chaos, exploring their underlying socio-cultural significance. It traces the origins of fandom circle Culture, explains its evolution from the West to China, and analyzes its connotations, extensions, characteristics, and current development status in China. This includes its scale, influence, promotion of the cultural and entertainment industries, and position in social culture. However, as chaotic phenomena in media opinion arise frequently—such as fake news, rumor propagation, cyber violence, opinion manipulation, traffic supremacy, and distorted values-serious impacts are inflicted on the cultural industry and social mindset. The intertwined interaction between fandom circle Culture and media opinion affects both media reporting and the values and behaviors within fandom circle Culture. To address these issues, the study proposes strategies for correcting the deformed aspects of fandom circle Culture. These include reshaping internal awareness, fostering a correct view of idols, optimizing the external environment, and managing media opinion chaos. Measures such as improving laws and regulations, enhancing professional ethics, promoting public media literacy, and applying new technologies aim to foster the healthy development of fandom culture, establish a harmonious media opinion ecosystem, and promote societal stability.
