One of the innovations in the process of organizing education in Ukraine, as a country that actively implements the demands of time and the Bologna process, is the actualization of distance learning, that meets the needs of the modern society, the society that needs a mobile professional who can implement the skills and knowledge in the globalized society, not only limited to the norms and standards of their own country. Distance learning is one of the promising and effective forms of higher education, which ensures the expansion of professional contacts, as well as greater use of the scientific and methodological potential of higher education. The authors consider the open educational resources to ensure the further effectiveness of the education system in Ukraine (in the context of society digitalization), to adapt it to the process of global integration. Open educational resources, both worldwide and Ukrainian, are the means for the development of skills and knowledge, due to which future professionals in a particular field have the opportunity to become more competitive at the labor market in the period of society globalization, achieving more significant goals.Item Essay as a Form of Academic Writing(Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu Humanistyczno-Przyrodniczego im. Jana Długosza w Częstochowie, 2019) Подолкова, Світлана Віталіївна; Подолкова, Светлана Витальевна; Podolkova, Svitlana Vitaliivna; Медвідь, Олена Миколаївна; Медведь, Елена Николаевна; Medvid, Olena MykolaivnaАкадемічне письмо як форма письмової мовленнєвої діяльності ефективно розвиває вміння творчого мислення, процесуальну мотивацію і значно підвищує ефективність навчання іноземній мові. У статті розглядаються різні види академічного есе та вимоги до їх правильного написання. Стаття містить аналіз структур есе та функції кожної складової частини: вступа, в якому є речення-теза, що містить головну ідею; основної частини, яка містить вихідну інформацію та дані, аргументи та факти на користь тези; висновка з заключною тезою і коментарем автора. Композиційна структура абзацу, перше речення якої зазвичай містить основну ідею, пояснюючих речень з інформацією та прикладами на користь головної ідеї, заключного речення, яке пов’язане з першим реченням або встановлює зв’язок з наступним абзацем, дозволяє передавати інформацію найбільш ефективно. Використання лексичних особливостей текстів академічного есе - вживання linking words (logical connectors), що встановлюють логічні зв’язки між реченнями та абзацами і класифікуються за їх функціональною спрямованістю у тексті, забезпечує реалізацію мети автора. Ключем до правильного есе є чітке розуміння вимог завдання, дотримання структури есе та проходження усіх стадій його написання. Перша стадія - мозковий штурм, який супроводжується відбором ідей, що безпосередньо стосуються теми. Складання плану майбутнього есе та написання першого варіанту з використанням лексичних засобів, притаманних стилю академічного письма, ретельна перевірка логічної послідовності викладення думок та виправлення помилок є наступними етапами. Написання академічного есе розвиває вміння аргументації власної точки зору, аналізу наукових теорій, методичних підходів, отриманих результатів дослідження та висловлення критичної думки. The fact that it is used in such a general way leaves it open to the dangers of abuse, misconception, and the dilution of its true meaning, from a highly-developed skill that requires a great deal of training into any kind of advice-giving that might be needed.
