Item The impact of skills, personality and psychology on management and decision making: empirical study among managers and employees(Sumy State University, 2022) Tovmasyan, G.This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the issue of the influence of skills, personality factors, and psychology on management and decision-making processes. The systematization of literature on the problem of managerial decision-making has shown the impact of a significant number of internal factors on the effectiveness of corporate governance. The main purpose of the research is to determine whether personality impacts management processes in organizations. The object of the study is 25 managers and 60 employees of companies working in different spheres. The analysis in the paper is carried out in the following logical sequence: at the first stage, the literary sources containing the results of previous studies on this topic were analyzed; based on the obtained results, a survey of managers and employees of companies was conducted, and appropriate conclusions were made. Methodological tools of the research include survey, interview, and statistical methods: cross tabulation with Pearson Chi-square testing. The paper presents the results of an empirical analysis, which shows that most employees and managers think that the efficient managers are the ones who are loved by employees. According to the managers and employees, these are the best skills that an efficient manager should have: communication skills, leadership skills, decision-making skills, professional knowledge and practice. Both employees and managers think that the best managers are extroverts, ambitious and leader-like. According to the managers and employees, the most efficient managers are analytical, active, social, wise and enthusiastic. According to managers, the most efficient managers are characterized as the thinker (melancholic) and socially useful, and according to employees, the most efficient manager is characterized as the doer (choleric) and socially useful. According to managers and employees, a good decision-maker is analytical and wise. The results may be useful for organizations, also for studies in management, HR, psychology, personal development, etc.Item The Role and Necessity of Change Management in Organizations։ Investing CRM as an Effective System to Manage Customer Relations(Sumy State University, 2022) Mirzoyan, S.; Tovmasyan, G.This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the issue of change management characteristics in organizations. The main purpose of the research is to find out and discuss the role of change management in organizations, the main change management models, the benefits of investing CRM in a banking system that will change the way of work. A systematization of literary sources on the issue of change management presents some models steps of change management in organization. It indicates the importance of change management in today’s fast-moving world. Investigation of the topic proves that change management may help organizations become more effective customer-oriented. Analysis in the paper is carried out in the following logical sequence: literature review shows some examples of international experience of the discussed topic; also, the experience of CRM investing is discussed in one of the Armenian banks. Methodological tools of the research methods were analysis and synthesis, surveys. The paper presents the results of an empirical study, which shows that there are some transactions for which people prefer going to the bank. Certain services tend to go online, for example, to request account information or transfer money between accounts. The trend is that customers are moving more and more to online platforms. It was due to the introduction of the latest IT technologies in the banking system; also, during Covid-19, people preferred to do transactions online. The results show that it is necessary to use CRM tools to manage customer relationships throughout a customer life cycle, including marketing, sales, digital marketing, and customer service interactions. We suggest using CRM tools in banks to identify customers' needs as much as possible to build a stable and long-lasting bank-customer relationship. The results of the research can be helpful for banks to improve their experience, invest in CRM systems and do better change management.Item The Impact of Motivation on Work Efficiency for Both Employers and Employees also During COVID-19 Pandemic: Case Study from Armenia(Sumy State University, 2020) Tovmasyan, G.; Minasyan, D.The article summarizes the main arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on motivation and its impact on work efficiency. The main goal of the research is to analyze the impact of motivation on work efficiency for both employees and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematization of the literary sources on motivation indicates that there are different factors of motivation. Some people are motivated by intrinsic factors, while others by extrinsic.Item Gender Differences in Decision-making and Leadership: Evidence from Armenia(Sumy State University, 2020) Minasyan, D.; Tovmasyan, G.This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the issue of gender differences in decision-making and leadership positions. The main purpose of the research is to find out if there are gender differences in decision-making styles, career development, and leadership and reveal the main causes. A systematization of literary sources on the issue of gender differences in the decision-making process indicates that there are real differences: women are more sensitive, men are overconfident, men tend to be leaders more than women. Investigation of the topic proves that in leadership positions men are promoted more than women are, also there is a payment gap between genders.Item Gender Inequality Issues in the Workplace: Case Study of Armenia(Sumy State University, 2019) Tovmasyan, G.; Minasyan, D.The object of the research is the gender inequality issues in Armenia. The paper presents the results of an empirical analysis, which shows that in Armenia women face discrimination in family and workplace, have less opportunities of career promotion, face issues connected with work restrictions, bad attitude, dress code, etc. The research empirically confirms and theoretically proves that the main steps for regulating the issues must be: raising the level of awareness of the people about the subject, making gender equality a component of the educational system, improving public policy, taking more coordinated efforts by non-governmental organizations, etc. The results of the research can be useful for state bodies, labor market, organizations, educational institutions, NGO’s, researchers, etc.Item The Role of Managers in Organizations: Psychological Aspects(Sumy State University, 2017) Tovmasyan, G.Management is the integrating force of the activities carried out in the organization. Management is the whole process of management functions such as planning, organizing, motivating and controlling, which is performed to accomplish the main objectives of the organization by the use of people and other resources. Managers play a decisive role in all management process. They set goals, plan and organize the activities, motivate people and monitor the activities. They are also responsible for themselves and the staff. That is why it is crucial to analyze and discuss the role of managers, their psychological traits and its influence on management process. The article presents the essence of management, the roles of managers by H. Mintzberg. The main skills of managers are discussed. Also, the psychological aspects such as temperament types of managers and psychological types by Carl Jung are analyzed. In order to find out the role of managers and the influence of their psychology on management process, we have carried out a research by survey and interview among employees and managers of different spheres. The results of the survey are analyzed in the article and it is obvious that the effectiveness of management and decision-making process depends on many factors including the psychology of managers. Besides, we have processed and offered a model of manager, which shows the links between the main traits of managers and management process. The main results may be used for further studies in this sphere, also for improving the management process in organizations.
