    The issues of increasing financial literacy on the examples of national strategies in european countries

    To summarize, as the landscape of financial services changes towards digitalization, people need to acquire new skills and update their knowledge of financial literacy, as well as adjust their financial behavior in accordance with digital financial products and services in order to be able to successfully manage their personal finances. This can be achieved through the effective implementation of national strategies for increasing financial literacy. Their main goal is achieved through the implementation of various measures, including the creation of special websites with the necessary information, professional consultations, master classes and the development of specialized courses, the development of special educational and/or communication tools. Social media have a positive and significant effect on financial literacy in this way. The use of these digital tools can lead to more lasting positive changes in consumers’ financial behavior.

    The technological innovation and increased competition for financial services worldwide have created a wide array of financial services available to consumers. As a result, government authorities worldwide are starting to look at concrete and effective ways of improving consumer protection in financial services and financial literacy - and take a proactive approach to reform of their retail financial markets. «Good Practices for Consumer Protection and Financial Literacy in Europe and Central Asia: A Diagnostic Tool» (hereinafter – Diagnostic Tool) which provides by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and The World Bank, recommends to use best practices for creation a good system of protecting the rights of consumers of financial services. Through the text of this Diagnostic Tool we can find the practical advices for creation purposesof system of protecting the rights of consumers of financial services. Some of them will be discussed below.
