Item Risk factors for acute intestinal infection of rotaviral etiology in children of young age(Sumy State University, 2016) Bumeister, L.V.According to the World Health Organisation are registered to 125 million cases of rotaviral infection (RVI) annually in the world. The lethality of this disease is 600 ˗ 900 thousands, that is about a quarter of patients with diarrhea. More often rotavirus affects children under the age to two years. According to research 95 % persons under 5 years old had gone through this illness. According to WHO experts, almost every child suffers from rotavirus gastroenteritis during the first five years of life, regardless of social and economic status and place of residence. Children under the age from 6 to 24 months suffer from rotavirus infection the most often. According to WHO, the incidence in different countries ranges from 250 to 3,000 per 100,000 children. More than 111 million cases of rotavirus gastroenteritis are diagnosed every year. The course of the disease mostly depends on the immune system of the patient. За даними ВОЗ, захворюваність у різних країнах коливається в межах від 250 до 3000 на 100000 дітей. В Україні щорічно гострими кишковими інфекціями хворіють близько 50000 дітей. Виникнення, особливості перебігу й висхід захворювання значною мірою зумовлені станом імунної системи, яка є запорукою захисту організму дитини від хвороб. Компонент системи комплементу С3 – є важливою частиною захисної системи проти інфекцій і складає близько 70 % всіх білків системи комплементу.
