Item Enhancement of the correlation of the photons of thermal light(John Wiley & Sons, 2021) Khokhlov, D.L.The scheme of the arrangement of five 50/50 non‐polarizing beam splitters is considered. It may provide for the enhancement of the correlation of the photons of thermal light up to 75%. The first part of paper describes the situation of industrial robot usage and offers an overview of application of robots in world industry. Later we deal with the most common applications of robots, especially in the automotive industry, as well as trends and perspectives on the future of automotive robotics. Finally, there was presented a model task from real industrial practice in form of specific project overview about robotized tightening of screws on the production line of car seats at the end of the article.Item Investigation of the operating process of a high-pressure centrifugal pump with taking into account of improvement the process of fluid flowing in its flowing part(IOP Publishing Ltd, 2021) Кондусь, Владислав Юрійович; Kondus, Vladyslav Yuriiovych; Гусак, Олександр Григорович; Husak, Oleksandr Hryhorovych; Yevtushenko, J.V.Centrifugal pumps are used in most industries. In particular, they are effectively used in the technological processes of oil production to create reservoir pressure at oil fields. Due to increasing demand for petroleum products, there is a need to improve such pumps to increase reservoir pressure by increasing their pressure. The research considered the possibility of improving the centrifugal pump impeller design by changing its blade system. It is theoretically possible to increase the pump head by changing the blade outlet angle at the impeller outlet β2 to 75˚. The design of additional wedge-shaped blades of the second tier of the impeller was developed to reduce some additional hydraulic losses zones. They made it possible to stabilize the fluid flow in the impeller intervane channels, to reduce additional hydraulic losses. In the research, the impeller head was increased up to 26.7% for the proposed design impeller compared to the standard one. The research was performed with a comprehensive analysis of the pump installation life cycle cost. Thus, the development of new ones and the upgrading of pumping installations rooted in the industry with the aim of increasing the head is possible while achieving the minimum pump installation life cycle cost.Item Axial forces in multistage back-to-back pumps(IOP Publishing Ltd, 2021) Kovtun, O.M.; Tverdokhleb, I.B.; Lugova, S.O.; Маківський, Олексій Сергійович; Makivskyi, Oleksii Serhiiovych; Lugovii, O.L.Since the pressure of the pumps for the oil and gas industry and feed water pumps for the thermal and nuclear power plants are increasing and at the same time the production costs need to be reduced, the demands for development of the modern multistage centrifugal pumps are increased. An enlargement of stage numbers results in an increase in the distance between the bearings and as a result the shaft deflection increases. Also, a large number of stages leads to occurrence of a significant axial force acting on the pump rotor. These issues are solved by applying a back-to-back design with a throttling bush between the groups of stages. An arrangement with such throttling bush results in an additional axial force due to the different directions of leakage in the channels (side wall gaps) between the main disks of the last impellers of both stage groups and stator elements. Therefore, the design of a throttling bush with special balancing holes was proposed. They were carried out to assess the possibility of using a contra rotating blade mesh operating in conjunction with a standard centrifugal impeller as a method of intensifying the transmission of energy to a fluid. It is represented in the “Directive on Determining the Requirements for the Design of Products Consuming Electricity” that forwards a claim for a 40% reduction of energy consumption in Europe by 2020. Considering the task as for the increase of energy intensity of the pump stage, the possibility of creating a higher head and efficiency increase with the same overall dimensions, flow rates and speed of rotation has been considered as a way of solving the task. This can be achieved by replacing the spatial blade system of a centrifugal impeller of low (ns = 65) specific speed by cylindrical blades, since such working bodies perform the process of energy transfer from impeller to working liquid in the most intensive way. Two conditions of the analysed pump were investigated: a new one and one after a long period of utilization. The main objects of research were the impeller, due to its enormous wear, and the L–shape wear ring. Three dimensional optical scanning was applied to reflect the real geometrical parameters of the analysed pump. The investigations were conducted by means of numerical simulations and a real test. The achieved results indicate the impact of the wear on the performance curves of middle specific speed sewage pump.Item Increasing fretting resistance of flexible element pack for rotary machine flexible coupling Part 1. As a result, it has been found out that the flexible coupling trouble-free operation period is limited by the pack of the flexible elements (FE) durability which depends on the fretting resistance of the individual flexible elements (plates) of the pack. The investigations with the use of an electron microscope have proved that there are at least three stages of the FE destruction: the formation of microfractures in the form of caverns at separate points of the FE destruction zone, which microfractures preserve microparticles of the destroyed metal in a confined space; weakening of the compression force affecting the plates and the wear product release from the fracture site; occurrence of abrasive wear resulting in the complete destruction of the FE. There has been substantiated the need in performing the FE stress-strain state analysis and determining the geometric and strain parameters of the strain zone, which can serve as a reserve for increasing the FE fretting resistance.Item New technology for restoring Babbitt coatings(IOP Publishing Ltd, 2021) Konoplianchenko, I.; Тарельник, В`ячеслав Борисович; Tarelnyk, Viacheslav Borysovych; Martsynkovskyy, V.; Гапонова, Оксана Петрівна; Haponova, Oksana Petrivna; Lazarenko, А.; Sarzhanov, A.; Mikulina, M.; Zhengchuan, Z.; Pirogov, V.The reasons for reducing the durability of sliding bearings and the factors formed both at the stage of their manufacture and during operation are considered. Taking into account the types of destruction of sliding bearing coatings (exfoliation, disintegration of individual sections, field failure) the need for developing technological recommendations for their repair is demonstrated. The analysis of existing technological methods for restoring worn surfaces of parts is shown. The technique for applying the method of electrospark alloying to repair bearing liners is represented. The technologies of applying combined electrospark coatings to increase the adhesion strength of the substrate to the antifriction Babbit layer are described. There have been revealed the correlation dependences of the quality characteristics of the Babbit coatings restored by the method of electrospark alloying versus the technological parameters of the process. This makes it possible to significantly implement the methodology for controlling the surface layer quality while manufacturing and repairing the products with Babbit coatings. A technique has been developed for determining the mass transfer equation constants and for predicting the roughness. Most countries have already faced the problem of the energy crisis. An appropriate way to solve this problem is the utilization of secondary energy resources. With the help of turbine generators, it is possible to reduce the pressure and utilize the potential energy of excess pressure of gas or vapours to produce electricity. Such units can be created based on a jet reaction turbine. The study aims to assess the impact of the degree of off-design of the traction nozzle on the efficiency of the jet reactive turbine. The analysis of the factors influencing the efficiency of the jet reaction turbine is carried out in the work. The obtained efficiency rate for the jet reactive turbine depending on the given dimensionless velocity of λout.t at the inlet pressure of the inlet nozzle of 2, 4, 6 and 10 MPa in the design mode (at the degree of off-design of S = 1) and in the off-design modes of operation ( S> 1). Graphical dependencies of the jet reaction turbine efficiency rate on the given circular velocity of the impeller are constructed (U ̅ = 0… 0.7). The research shows that with increasing pressure at the inlet to the inlet nozzle, the efficiency rate of the turbine increases, and the optimum of the efficiency rate is shifted towards the increase of the given circular velocity of the impeller, both in the design and off-design operating modes. It is found that the greatest value of the efficiency rate is acquired at the design mode of operation of the traction nozzle, i.e. at S = 1.
