    Virtual Educational Space and Psychological Problems in a Pandemic

    We aimed to analyze the peculiarities of educational simplicity and psychological problems under pandemic conditions, to conduct an empirical study among the participants of the educational space, to identify correlations between psychological properties of personality and the level of procrastination. Study Design:empirical study among the participants of the educational space, identifying correlations between psychological properties of personality and the level of procrastination. Place and Duration of Study:320 students and teachers of higher educational institutions in Lviv took part in the survey. Methodology:In our study we used descriptive and empirical methods with application of elements of statistics -Pearson correlation analysis. In the study we also used the following sociological methods: online survey “Detection of socio-psychological problems, procrastination generated by the COVID-19 pandemicin the activity of educational institutions”, scales of diagnosing emotional states of personality, “Procrastination Scales” by B. V. Takman and methods of FAM (Feeling-Activity-Mood). Place and duration of the study: Dnipro State Medical University, Institute of Kyiv National Trade and Economic University and Medical Institute Sumy State University, of State mortgage «Lugansk National University of Taras Shevchenko» from April to October 2021. We also followed systemic approach, comparative method, weighting and forecasting method, according to which virtual educational environment also opens new perspectives for teachers and students, providing opportunities of access to multidirectional information, which allows to acquire social knowledge, social experience, formulate life prospects and realize personal potential. Results: It was found that teachers and students during the COVID-19 pandemic had a higher level of positive well-being, activity, a higher level of mood than during the pandemic. It was also determined that teachers and students had an increased level of procrastination during the pandemic. According to the results of correlation analysis in the group of students and teachers’ correlation relationships between the indicators: the level of procrastination, mood, well-being was established. It has been established that the crisis has hurt both the country and the population quite badly. Training for pupils and students and teachers changed from full-time to distance learning. This form of learning vividly showed all the difficulties: the motivation of students; their ability to self-education; communication in the learning process; the organization of the learning process. For teaching staff, the main difficulty became mastering digital technology to organize the educational process. Empirically it was confirmed that the emotional state “before” and “during” the pandemic is significantly different. Conclusion: The stressful situation has had its negative impact on the mental health of participants in the educational process, so an important role in this time of crisis is the activity of the psychological service of the educational institution.

    The Impact of Nutritional Quality on the Students’ Health

    Aim: To study the nutritional quality and its impact on the health of the students of higher education institutions. Material and methods: 647 students were interviewed. A questionnaire, which contains 17 questions and is aimed at studying the quality of students’ nutrition, was created by authors. Experimental (EG, n = 60) and control (CG, n = 60) groups were formed. The EG included the students whose diet was rational while studying, the CG included the students whose diet was irrational. The level of students’ health was examined at the end of studying according to the methodology of professor G.L. Apanasenko. Results: It was found that only 30.6% of students ate 3-4 times a day, 14.4% – twice a day, 49.8% did not follow any dietary regimen, and 7.9% of students would not eat breakfast at al 43.7% of male students and 53.3% of female students did not follow a dietary regimen at all. A comparative analysis of the physical health of students of EG and CG showed that among both male and female students, the students whose diet was rational had significantly better (p<0.001) level of health. Conclusions: It was determined that the majority of students had low nutritional quality while studying: nutrition was irrational, incomplete, and not varied. This does not contribute to a healthy lifestyle of modern students and can negatively affect the efficiency of their future professional activities.

    Analysis of students' somatic health and emotional state during sports games classes

    The aim: Is to investigate the impact of sports games (football) on the level of somatic health and emotional state of students in the process of studying. Materials and methods: The study was conducted at Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture and Sumy State University (Ukraine) in 2018-2019. The study involved 87 male students of the main department. Two groups were formed: an experimental group (EG, n=42), the students of which were engaged in a sports-oriented form of physical education (in the class of football), and a control group (CG, n=45), the students of which were training according to the traditional methods of organizing physical education classes at higher education institutions. The somatic health of students was assessed according to the method of H. L. Apanasenko, which provided for the determination of body mass, life, power, and Robinson indexes, heart rate recovery time after a standard exercise. The emotional state of students was determined by the WAM (Well-being, Activity, Mood) methodology. Results: At the end of the study, the EG students showed a significantly better level of somatic health than the CG students; the difference was significant and accounted for 3.18 points (p<0.001). At the same time, during the study, the EG students had a more pronounced significant increase in all studied health indicators (p<0.001). The best emotional state level of the students of both groups was recorded at the end of the study, but in the EG students it was significantly (p<0.05) better than in the CG students by 0.55-0.73 points. Conclusions: It was found that sports games classes, including football, had a positive effect on the level of somatic health and emotional state of students. Significant changes were observed in the performance of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems of students. The high level of somatic health and good emotional state of students will help to improve mastering academic disciplines at higher education institutions, provide preparation for active life and help to improve future professional activities.

    Науково обґрунтувано впровадження раціональної програми оздоровчо-тренувальних занять у навчальний процес із фізичного виховання зі студентками. Урахування біологічної функції жіночого організму необхідно при плануванні оздоровчо-тренувальних занять. Ефективність запропонованої методики занять на основі диференційованого застосування засобів оздоровчого фітнесу, була достовірно підтверджена результатами покращення основних досліджуваних показників у студенток експериментальної групи: підвищенням рівня функціонального стану, покращенням показників фізичної працездатності, оптимізацією ОМЦ (зниження больового відчуття, зниження дратівливості), а також підвищенням інтересу до занять.

    Morphological parameters of athletes in Sumy region

    Обстежено 39 студентів Сумського державного унверситету, спортсмени участники чемпіонату Украіни. Першу та другу групу склали мастера спорта спортсмени волейболисти та спортсмени з стрельби з луку. Третью групу склали студенти, яки займалися в основній групі. Визначення антропометричних показників проводили за методикою В.В.Бунака . Антропометричні показники в першій групі значно вищі.
